The Holy Family walked from Bethlehem to Gaza to the Zaranik Protectorate (Al-Flusiyat) 37 km west of Al-Arish, and they entered Egypt via the northern side of the Farama (Piluzium), located between the cities of Al-Arish and Port Said.
Al-Farma is about 35 km east of the city of Qantara on the beach, and at the village of Balooza, whose original old name is Piluzium. The name Piluzium means the journey because it is from there that the caravans’ trips begin. From the village of Balooza, we can find the asphalt sub-road that leads to the archeological area, which is about 5 km from the main road.
As Al-Farma was located on the Pelozi Nile branch, it became an important port and commercial center for the whole world.
Then the Holy Family moved from Al-Farma on its way to Tell Basta, which was in the past the city of Basta.
