There was a strong bond between St. Bishoy and H.H. Pope Shenouda III
At the time he was announced the 117th Pope of Alexandria and the Patriarch of the see of St. Mark, H.H. Pope Shenouda III was praying beside the body of St. Bishoy that the Lord might reveal and fulfil His Will in his life. This was said by H.G. Bishop and Abbot Sarapamon.
On 17th of March 2012 H.H. Pope Shenouda III passed away and was buried at St. Bishoy monastery according to his will, in a sepecial gravesite infront of St. Bishoy church from the north side.
The place was built in 2000 AD. As a museum for H.H. Pope Macarius III papal clothes.
After the death of H.H. Pope Shenouda III he was buried in this place and became a special gravesite for his holiness. Though the papal clothes of H.H. Pope Macarius III were moved to the ancient refectory.
The gravesite includes many of his holiness belongings, such as his papal clothes and his pictures as well as his books. H.H. body lies in this place in a tomb, where people come from everywhere to have his blessings.
