Pope Michael, the 71st Patriarch
He was born in Dakados, became a monk in the monastery of Macarius the Great, and stayed in the wilderness until old age in a righteous life. When the See of St. Mark became vacant, he was nominated for the Patriarchate, and he was ordained Patriarch on the 5th of the month of Misra in the year 861 of martyrs, in 1145 A.D. When he fell ill, he went to the monastery and there he departed in peace on the third of the month of Baramouda 862 martyrs, after spending eight months on the throne.
The Teacher Habib Hanna the Dakadosy
The teacher Habib Hanna was a blessed archon during the patriarchate of Pope Peter VII the 109th (1809-1852 AD), and he worked as a clerk at the Diwan of Emiri Funds during the reign of Muhammad Ali Pasha.
Father Mankarious Awad Allah
He was born in Dakados, and was mentioned by the Archdeacon and Saint Habib Gerges in his encyclopedia “The Seminary between the Past and the Present”, where he said about him: Mankarios Awad Allah from Dakados joined the school in 1934 AD and spent four years there, appointed as a teacher of religion at the Petrus Workshop, then in the seminary and became a teacher there. After that Father Mankarios became a priest of the Marimina Church in Bani Mazar in 1944 AD. He was distinguished by many talents and he is the author of the Encyclopedia of the Lighthouse of Holies in Rituals for the Coptic Church, and he departed in 2009 AD.
