The monastery of Saint Bishoy the great is one of the oldest monasteries in Egypt. It was established by Saint Bishoy in the fourth century, in the era of Saint Macarius the great.
Saint Bishoy is signified and known in our church as the beloved perfect man who cleansed the feet of our Good Savior, who also carried Him on his shoulders. He was promised by the Lord Jesus Christ that his body will never go corrupt.
Saint Bishoy monastery has archaeological heritage that goes back to the fourth, fifth and ninth century AD. that stands to this day to witness the greatness of the place through history and the protection of God.
