The Holy Family rested under an old tree “A tamarisk tree”. This tree is located in the Monastery of Martyr Anba Sarabamon, in the Christian cemetery area.
It was later called the “Maryam Tree”, and Despite the number of years; more than 2000 years, the tree still remains with its huge trunks and green leaves.
